The rain may be the last H20 they ever see
On this day it was raining. I was contemplating canceling our mission trip to the SRJC, but one thought kept returning to my head...what if this rain is the last water somebody will ever see! I thought of the story of the rich man and Lazarus...the rich man lifted up his eyes in hell and being in torments begged for a drop of water. The reality is.. hell and heaven exist..and JESUS CHRIST is the only SAVIOR! This is my motivation to preach the gospel..people perishing daily and the LORD of heaven has made salvation possible through faith in Him. This day stood out as different because a christian approached stating that my method was all wrong..that i shouldn't be out in the rain preaching..why..people think your crazy. I shared with the man the reality of people perishing daily..and my trust in the power of the gospel and Spirit of JESUS CHRIST. After this he then realized that his perspective was a worldly perspective ...that of pleasing man rather than GOD. We must never exchange the truth of the Bible for a lie..the Lord is serious about saving souls..we must be to. So, after preaching in the center of the campus, Peter and I met a christian worship leader from a church in Petaluma. We all three then went to the front of the campus where we worshipped the Lord and preached the gospel. One man came screaming out of the crowd and got up in my face. He called me many filthy words and told me that i shouldn't direct my preaching at him...this is genuine conviction...when Gods Spirit uses the preaching of God's Word to convict a man of his sin and need for a Savior. Amazingly a young non-believer got up in his face telling him that I had the right to preach even if people don't want to hear it. I rejoiced because many people heard the gospel of JESUS CHRIST. I'm excited that the LORD is using us to stir up this campus.
